      <p class="text-justify">The English Department at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College is one of the most spirited departments in the
university. The faculty believes in creating an engaging environment in which students are groomed
for wholesome development. The students under the guidance of the professors organize several extracurricular
activities throughout the semesters. The department organizes monthly lectures on pertinent
topics by the literary stalwarts. Apart from the lecture series, the department screens films to expose
young scholars to various cinematic movements across the world. The focus is on introducing students
to new ideas via literature of several kinds; the written, the spoken, the cinematic, etc. We pride ourselves
on our students who graduate with more than a degree in literature.</p>
