      <p class="text-justify">Knowledge of history is indispensable to understand who we are and where we fit in this world. History
helps us to understand people, societies, economies, states, nations, ideas, and cultures all around the
world. Also, it develops critical thinking among the students.</p>

      <p class="text-justify">The History Department at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College has highly qualified staff, which is committed to
the goal of providing the right environment for our students
to understand the historical discourse. We do not believe
in the dissemination of knowledge to the classroom only,
but we also have our history society, Historia to organize
various activities like audio-visual presentations, film
screenings, debates, interactive talks, and one-day trips to
museums and monuments, etc. Our society is also dedicated
to inviting eminent scholars for seminars and workshops
to uphold the academic values of the department. A fullfledged
two-day history festival, Yugantar is organized
annually by the department encouraging our students to
showcase their talent via various academic and cultural
