      <h2 class="sub_heaqding">ACTIVITIES</h2>
      <p>We believe that academics should proceed along with hands on experience. To enrich the academic experience of students, the department regularly organizes lectures, excursions and cultural festivals.</p>
            <h2 class="sub_heaqding">Lectures and Seminars</h2>
            
            <p>Lectures, seminars and discussions are organized to acquaint the students to the latest trends in history writing. The department has had the privilege of hosting eminent historians like Prof. Parthasarathy Gupta and recently <strong>Prof. Mridula Mukherjee.</strong> Historians<strong> Dr. Viswamohan Jha,</strong> <strong>Dr. Arvind Sinha</strong> and <strong>Dr. Lata Singh</strong> also lectured and had interactive session with students.</p>
      
         <h2 class="sub_heaqding">Study Tours</h2>
         <p>The department organizes trips to Agra and historical sites nearby Delhi. A visit to Indus valley sites like Rakhigarhi is also on cards. Besides, the department also undertakes short trips to historical places in Delhi. Understanding the antiquity of Delhi and unraveling its past architectural treasures has always been very enjoyable for the students. Delhi also houses the National Museum and the National Archives. The vast exhibits of the National Museum have often required more than one trip. The National Archives the store house of records acquaints the students with an indispensible primary resource of a historian. All these visits and activities are organized under the aegis of the History society.</p>
         <h2 class="sub_heaqding">Cultural Fest </h2>
         <p>A two day history festival <strong>Yugantar</strong> is organized every January. In 2014, Naseem Ahmad, the ex Vice Chancellor of Aligarh Muslim University, graced this occasion. It provides the student with a big platform to showcase their talents and also nurture their competitive skills. Its an intra college festival where music, dance, quiz and debates have evinced enthusiastic response from students and drawn the participation of college departments other than history. </p>
